Do hot baths burn calories? Yes, a recent study carried out by Loughborough University, UK has shown that the calories burnt are equivalent to 30-minute walk. The experiment was conducted on 14 men who were asked to perform two tests i.e. spend one hour bicycling and then spend one hour in the bathtub. The result was that though the calories burnt while cycling was more the calories burnt in hot bath water was significant.
